Life coaching is an opportunity for you to get clarity on the direction you want your life to be heading. I can help you build on existing strengths and develop effective approaches to your work, relationships, and wellbeing. I can support you to take the action needed to fulfil your goals and optimise your quality of life. With 25 years experience of helping people create meaningful changes, I draw on a number of psychological approaches.
Integrating Gestalt my approach is creative and dynamic, exploring the choices you have to move forwards. Working in partnership, we will explore your values, the obstacles/blocks getting in the way, and how to become more aligned to what really matters to you. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which uses evidence based psychological interventions that are particularly helpful at shifting stuck patterns.
I can also use motivational interviewing, to give space to any resistance to change, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help learn ways to overcome unhelpful thoughts. Guided visualisations, imagery, and movement can also be used. My aim is to provide you with an individually tailored service best suited to meet your needs.
During the sessions we will develop focused, realistic, and workable action plans to help you achieve your goals. Sessions could also involve using creative exercises and/or learning tools to help you to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and move forwards.
