Sometimes navigating through life is not easy and there are occasions when it can feel especially hard to find a way forward. Maybe the usual strategies that have helped before don’t seem to be working or you find yourself repeating old patterns of behaviour.
Perhaps life at home or work feels difficult with too much stress and not enough support. Or maybe you are unclear about your purpose and the direction of your life. It could be that past experiences are having a detrimental impact on your life and relationships.
Whatever the reason, at these times it is easy to feel stuck, confused, or out of balance. You may even find that emotions of sadness, anxiety, or anger are starting to become overwhelming.
Choosing counselling is an opportunity for you to pause and reflect on your life. It can help you make sense of things, to feel less burdened, and increase your vitality. Counselling allows you to reconnect with who you are and gain clarity on what’s important. It is particularly helpful if you've experienced a loss, are having relationship problems, or are struggling to feel good about yourself.
As a Gestalt psychotherapist I am interested in the meaning we make in our lives and what gets in the way of leading a more fulfilling life. I believe in the potential of growth in every experience, particularly the challenging ones, and I'm passionate about assisting people in this journey. I am particularly skilled in helping individuals manage times of major change and uncertainty.
At other times it may be useful to have life coaching. I offer this if you are unsure where your life is heading, feel like you’re not reaching your potential, or are struggling to fulfil your goals. Coaching gives you the space to explore your aspirations and clarify your values. It allows you to build on strengths, address obstacles, and develop effective approaches to work, relationships, and wellbeing.
If any of this resonates with you or you would like to ask more about couples counselling, psychotherapy, or life coaching then please do contact me and I'll be happy to assist.
I offer the flexibility of phone or online sessions (Skype or Zoom) which is a supportive and convenient option for many people.
